Hashnote
Text yourself your thoughts, then find them again by #tag. A notes app for iPhone.
Jot things down the way you'd text yourself. Each bubble is one note. Add a #tag anywhere and your notes gather on their own, and the tag map shows at a glance which notes hang off each tag.
What you can do
- Fast as a chat: The keyboard is up the moment you open the app. Type, send, done.
- Organize with #tags: Write #work anywhere in a note and it becomes a tag. Tap a tag to see only the notes with that tag.
- Tag map: See how your thoughts connect on a map of tags and notes.
- Speak your notes: Tap the mic and talk. Say "tag work" and it becomes #work.
- Find it again: Search by words or #tag, then jump to that spot in the chat.
FAQ
Where are my notes stored?
Only on your iPhone. There's no account or sign-in, and your notes are never sent to a server. That also means deleting the app deletes your notes. Backup and sync across devices aren't supported yet.
Dictation isn't working.
Check that the microphone is allowed in iPhone Settings > Hashnote. Dictation runs on your device; the first time you use it, iOS may need a moment to download the speech model for your language. Some older devices don't support it.
Does the app send any data?
Only anonymous usage statistics about which features are used, to help improve the app. They never include your notes, your dictated text, or the names of tags you create. See the Privacy Policy for details.
