1. What we don't collect

2. What we collect: usage statistics

To learn which features are used and improve the app, we collect the information below. It never includes note text, dictated text, the names of tags you create, or links in your notes.

CategoryExamples
Feature usageSending a note, opening and closing search, opening the tag map, starting and stopping dictation
Numbers tied to usageCharacter and tag count of a note, how much dictated text was edited, time taken
Values defined by the appSuggested tags picked during onboarding (from the app's built-in list), accent color
PerformanceTime taken to draw the tag map, number of notes
Device informationDevice model, iOS version, app version, country code from the device's region setting (e.g. US), whether microphone access is allowed
Anonymous identifierA random value created when the app is installed. It is not linked to your name or any hardware identifier

We have configured our analytics provider not to infer your location (city or region) from your IP address.

3. How we use it

We do not use this information for advertising or marketing, and we do not combine it with data from other companies to track you. We do not sell or share your personal information.

4. Service provider and international transfer

Usage statistics are processed by our analytics provider, Mixpanel.

5. Deleting usage statistics

Usage statistics are sent automatically while you use the app; there is no in-app setting to turn them off. Deleting the app also deletes the anonymous identifier, and nothing is sent after that.

Because usage statistics are identified only by an anonymous identifier, without a name or contact details, it is difficult to single out one person's records among those already sent. If you would like your data deleted, contact us below and we will find a way to help.

7. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
